Papers from the Animals and Society Section of the American Sociological Association.
Some of these sound reasonable enough, others, perhaps less so.
Whew.

A long pondered but only lately realized blog about economics, politics, evaluation, econometrics, academia, college football and whatever else comes to mind.

The Animals and Society section logo is one of my favorite things in all of sociology. As a note, most sections do not have logos. Animals and Society's, visible on the linked page, features a man who has clearly consumed an entire cat.
Sociologians shouldn't use the symbol of a dog, what with its overt male symbolism that evokes thoughts of the white male patriarchal hegemony.
I think the Cat is a better animal for them.
Cheers,
Alphonso
