Our only dip into the pool that is the Ann Arbor Film Festival this year was a trip yesterday afternoon to the Michigan Theater to see Automorphosis. I is a documentary about art cars and the amazing people who make them. I got turned onto art cars by my graduate school friend Nat Wilcox at Houston, who took me to Houston's art car parade one year when I was down that way to give a seminar. It was great fun - and this movie is too. It is all about pursuing happiness in the wonderfully individual way that makes America what it is.
Highly recommended.
