Supreme Courtship, by Christopher Buckley (the son of William F. Buckley) basically asks the question: what would happen if a TV judge were put on the Supreme Court? The answer is as funny as you would expect. I consumed this as an audio book with the reading by Anne Heche. I recommend this - she does the female TV character really well. Buckley has a deep and intuitive understanding of politics in the large and in the small so almost all of his jabs reach their target.
Highly recommended as light reading for the happily cynical
