Nude biking not okay?

If you can't ride your bike naked to make a political point in Madison, Wisconsin, where can you?

Well, maybe Berkeley or Amsterdam.

But, seriously, this seems awfully narrow-minded for Mad City; it may just illustrate the large cultural divide that sometimes exist between the police and the people they are supposed to protect.

Via, I think, the Agitator

Addendum: Don in the comments provides an answer, namely Fremont, a neighborhood in Seattle which is also home to a statue of Lenin. As an aside, I spent the first eight years of my life living on Queen Anne Hill in Seattle, at the foot of which you will find Fremont.

On the return of Uncle Bonsai

The Seattle Times has the story.

But they will never be quite the same without Ashley.

I followed Uncle Bonsai around in college (and after) enjoying shows all around the Pacific Northwest as well as at the Ark in Ann Arbor when I was at Western Ontario.

Lusty Lady

Seattle's Lusty Lady peep show is closing, and I never got around to buying one of their "Have an Erotic Day" t-shirts.

Interesting political bit from the story:
"We're amazingly different," Davis said. "There used to be this idea that 'those kinds of women' weren't dependable or reliable, all these assumptions about people who take off their clothes and dance for a living. And we're women-managed. I've been shocked to hear women say they've felt safer working at the Lusty Lady than in a law office and I'm like 'what?!' Like the RCA dog with my head cocked: I just couldn't believe the stories of sexual harassment."
There's a remarkably fond story in the Seattle Times as well, which includes the tale of a man with 12 oranges that you should read for yourself, along with some more double entendres.

Seattle at Christmas

I do miss Seattle sometimes. Snow is not its usual Christmas weather but it suits it as long as you do not have to get somewhere.

The star in the background is on what used to be the Bon Marche and is now Macy's.
