It took me a while to warm up to
Mrs. Dalloway, mostly because it took me a while to get used to the writing style, but once I did I really enjoyed it and was sorry to see it end. The book tells the story of one day in London in the period not long after World War 1 from the perspective of several interacting characters. It is fascinating as a document of social history, it is wickedly funny (and quite pointed) at times in its implicit social criticism, and, in the end you care a lot about the odd band of characters it portrays.
Recommended.
