Thought for the day
"I look forward to faculty meetings. It's like going to the zoo."
A tenured colleague of mine who, for obvious reasons, will remain unnamed.
I am still waiting for your comments on yesterday's faculty meeting. I had hoped that you would comment on each of our meetings ... maybe you could even "live blog" them.
The sad fact of the matter, as you are well aware, is that despite voting against myself at every round, I was elected to the executive committee and am now part of the power elite in our little world. I think that means I am supposed behave with the seriousness and discretion that naturally accompanies such an important position.
